• Save money, even if you do not need much for closing. Do not let your bank balances get low. Avoid letting your bank balances get too low to prevent Non-Sufficient Fund charges that could delay your loan approval for 60 days or more.
• Delay any significant purchases until after your loan has closed. If a credit check reveals recent large purchases such as a car or an increase in charge account balances, it may jeopardize your loan approval.
• Avoid changing jobs while your loan is being processed.
